Emma Salahuddin (Mama Emma)
Didgeridoo Musician
Emma Salahuddin is a retired Art Teacher/Offset Lithographer in Graphics Arts and travel consultant who is fully engaged in the performing arts. She is a member of the diverse all women’s percussion ensemble ConunDrums, that plays West African rhythms in the Atlanta, Georgia area; she is a graduate of Egbe Sekere Intensive and a member of Egbe Sekere of Atlanta. She is also an independent Didgeridoo Musician that plays sekere and other percussive instruments; and offers healing sound presentations, tutorials and performances as a profession. The didgeridoo has become such an intrinsic part of Emma’s life that she is dedicated to sharing with all who are willing to listen, the knowledge of the instrument and the culture from which it derives. She also sees it as a teaching tool to promote a greater peace, understanding, unity and love that should exist among humanity all over the world.
